Learn how to send messages and add attachments

Members can send messages in conversations across the Greek Connect mobile app and the desktop website, provided they have permission to do so.

When sending a message, members can add attachments, style their message, and even create polls and share events.

Attachments

• Images: Upload images from your device to be shared in the conversation with your message.
• Gifs: Select a gif from Giphy to be shared in the conversation with your message.
• Events: Share an event in the conversation with your message.
• Polls: Create and share a poll in the conversation with your message. Note that this is separate from regular polls.
• Links: Share links to websites in the conversation with your message. Links are shared by pasting the url into your message.

Styling

When sending messages to a conversation, you can add bold, italic, and underline styles to selected portions of each message.

Notifications

Members can mute notifications for a given conversation by going to the Conversation Details page and then turning on the switch labeled "Mute Notifications".

Android

On Android devices, messages and accounts can be blocked and/or reported for objectionable content. If a member would like to unlock a message or member, they can click "Unblock" or they should uninstall and then reinstall Greek Connect.
