Create chats and channels with automatic membership filters and admin settings
Introduction
With Greek Connect messages, your chapter's officers can easily create conversations for any situation. Whether it is a date night, pledge class, or an announcements group for everyone, admins can quickly and easily make and manage the conversation. Also, Admins can set permissions for conversations as well, toggling the ability to send messages or react to messages with emojis.
The best part about messages is creating ones with automatic membership. You can use this to automatically have a group chat based on member status (such as new member, member, and/or officer), or based on event attendance or rsvp status.
Best Practices
- Stay organized: Having separate conversations for different purposes ensures that communications are easier to find in the future and only get sent to the appropriate groups of members. Also, attaching relevant links and events makes it easier for members to stay updated.
- Utilize permissions: Preventing most members from sending messages in certain conversations ensures that important communications don't get drowned out by comments from members.
- Make it fun: Using emojis, gifs, and polls keeps members engaged and interested in what's being discussed.
