Check-In Maps

Overview

Track member attendance at locations with GPS check-ins and automatic points

What Are Check-In Maps?

Check-In Maps let you track member attendance at recurring locations without creating individual events. Set up a map with one or more locations, define when check-ins are accepted, and members check in from their phone when they arrive. Points are awarded automatically.

Great for study hours, house duties, gym sessions, community service sites, or any location-based accountability.

Key Capabilities

  • GPS Verification: Members can only check in when their phone confirms they’re within the location’s radius (50 ft to 1 mile).
  • Scheduling: Set day-and-time windows per location. Check-ins are only accepted during scheduled hours.
  • Automatic Points: Link points systems and set per-location point values. Points awarded instantly on check-in.
  • Leaderboard: Optional rankings by check-in count with weekly, monthly, and all-time views. Visibility options: everyone, personal rank only, or admin-only.
  • Activity Feed: Real-time feed showing recent check-ins with member avatars on the map.
  • Cooldown & Daily Limits: Prevent spam check-ins with minimum wait times and per-day caps.
  • Excusals: Members submit excusals for missed check-ins. Admins review and approve or deny.
  • Admin Tools: View all check-ins, delete fraudulent entries (points reversed), and export to CSV.

How Members Check In

  • Open the Check-In Maps page and select a map.
  • Tap a location to see its status (Open / Closed), your distance, and the check-in button.
  • If you’re within range and the location is open, tap "Check In."
  • Points are awarded instantly. A confirmation shows how many points you earned and in which system.

Permissions

  • Members: Check in at locations if they’re members of a linked points system. Submit excusals.
  • Points Creators: Create and manage their own maps.
  • Points Admins: Full access — create, edit, delete any map. Manage check-ins, review excusals, export CSV.
