Setup point systems to accept member requests

There are multiple ways members can earn points in a given system. Members can submit requests for points that are automatically approved by using Location Tracking, or they can submit custom point requests or have their points manually adjusted by admins.

Location Tracking

Location tracking is only available via Greek Connect's mobile app. When members are ready to track their location, they can go to the View Points page and then click "Request Points" (and "Location Tracking" if shown). Then, they are allowed to select a location from which they would like to earn points for their study time. If they are not within the bounds of any location, they are still able to submit a custom request (with photo) if custom requests enabled.

Once their location tracking has started, they will continue to earn points for as long as they stay within the bounds and keep Greek Connect open. If they leave the area or close out, they will receive a notification letting them know that they need to reopen to keep earning points.

When the member is finished their activity, they can click "Finish" to conclude their location tracking session.

Custom Requests

Members can submit custom point requests on any platform, by going to the View Points page and then clicking "Request Points" (and "Custom Request" if shown). From there, they can provide a title and description for the request, the date, point value, and an attachment as proof. From there, chapter officers can view which members have "Open Requests" and can view each one and approve, modify, or deny as they see fit.

Manual Adjustments

Chapter officers can manually adjust member points by selecting them and modifying existing records or adding new ones. This is useful for cases where members ended up earning less or more than they requested points for, or if they forgot to submit a request for a something that they had done.

Troubleshooting

• Resume location tracking so you can earn your points: The member either did not click finish during their last location tracking session, so they need to resume and click "finish". Or, the system got into a bad state, and you need to contact your chapter's representative for more help.
